4L60E slips badly in D3 or D4, run great otherwise
I have a 4L60E in my tired 1997 Chevy Express van. It stripped the sun shell, so I rebuilt. After the rebuild, it ran fine while cold, but I got P0713, P0753, P1860 and P0713. It would stay in 3rd after it warmed up. Dropped the pan and checked the solenoids and temp sensor. Got a chassis harness connector for the solenoid control, and tested it at the connector. Put everything back together, filled it up, and now it's not throwing any codes, but slips so badly from a standstill in D3 or D4 that I have to shift to D1 or D2 to start rolling. What's going on? The pressure port is solidly frozen, so I don't know about pressures.

Can you tell me more about the low/reverse sprag? When I checked it in the rebuild, it didn't behave exactly as I expected, but I knew it was constructed a lot different from the forward sprag. There didn't seem to be a great difference in friction each way. If I pushed hard enough, I could cause both directions to slip.
