Default anyone use 2step with 4L60E?

how would a 2-step benefit a transmission with no "brake" I was going to use it on another project but might use it on the truck if it works like I'm thinking. If the converter foot stalls to ~3400 and I set the 2-step to 3000ish would I be able to activate it and mat the throttle and not spin the tires but just "brake stall" through the 2-step and launch at a more consistant RPM every time. Or would it just be wasting time?

I can't see where it would hurt. It will definitly help to keep the temps down.
