i used pa-racing k member, built 6.0, ls1 t56, ls1 t56 trans. crossmember,
ds, autometer gages, standalone pcm and harness, aeromotive reg. and fuel rails. that pretty much covers the basic stuff, did not use any of the stock lt1 dash gages, went with autometer, no ac, heater. its not as dificult as some believe, imo very much worth it,.

im assuming Fbody...
i helped a friend do it...
it basiclly bolted together... he used a stock LS1 car kmember, ect...
really the only non-stock thing about it is the wiring, and the fuel feed line.. everything else is just using LS1 parts...
oh, he already had an aftermarket hood with a lid setup on it... so that wasnt an issue... i suppose you would be trying to squeeze a 90 and filter in there if you didnt do that...

i would put a bigger bore shortblock so that you can run the newer wideport heads... not only the L92s, but all of the future GM heads

As far as everything else, you need a LS1 Transmission, and LS1 Steering Rack. You have to get a 1999 and up Corvette Fuel Regulator to convert it for the Fuel Rails. I managed to get ahold of some conversion Mounts to mount a LSX Block to my LT1 K-Member. I paid $40 shipped for them, and they came with all the hardware. Throttle Cables are goin to be custom for me, I have to Extend them.
Mine is a little bit different setup, but still basically the same.

You can get it to work, but you have to get a Crank Spacer Plate, and have the Solenoids in the Tranny if you are a 95 and back converted to LS1 Solenoids.
I prefer to use the LS1 Tranny cause it bolts up in about 7 different spots, it's enclosed and everything is already setup for it.
That and I got mine for $165..
