Default Project "FireCrotch" (non-LSX but still cool)

What up fellas?

I thought I'd post up a few pics of my best buds latest project

What you are seeing here is his Yamaha R1 (I believe it is an '03, but not sure). The bike was layed over and hit a VERY nasty curb so he bought it and fixed/replaced all the jacked up plastic and decided to add a custom paint scheme.

My friend has started a small custom paint shop just for fun and a little extra "walking around" cash, and decided that this bike would be better than any business card!

The first few stages of fire:

The first few stages of HOC Kandy (did I spell that right?)

Adding a little more color:

And finally, a basic look at what the bike will look like. At the point these pics are taken he still has a few areas of touchup and clearing, but you get the idea:

Some close-ups of the tank:

Since these pics have been shot he has finished the color and clear and buffed all the panels. He is still waiting on a few parts (mainly the new wheels because the old ones were damaged in the wreck) but once the bike is finished and put together I will be taking some bad *** shots for you guys to enjoy! These pics are just a rough example of what the bike will look like. Trust me, it looks incredible in person! Especially in the sun!

I thought about that, but the paint section seemed more tech oriented, and I just wanted to share a few pics...I really wasn't sure were to put it. If any mods feel it needs to be moved than please do.

Since you asked, it's HOK. I don't usually like flame jobs on anything cuz they just look too....not coolish. But that one is tight. It's nice

That's funny you mention that. Before he bought this bike he picked up an '01 GSXR 750 that had been laid over and fixed it up. He put a real NICE custom paint shceme on it using all HOK paint (Sorry I have no pics. The bike has been sold). He worked on this bike for a VERY long time and paint was meticulous!

Well just a few weeks after final assembly, he was at a family reunion, and his dad was sitting on the bike (a guy that has been around bikes all his life and was even a Suzuki mechanic for years) and just had a brain fart not paying attention and didn't have the stand set and layed the bike on it's side...A tragic (not to mention uneasy) moment!

I have a feeling that NO ONE is touching this bike!
