Default Comp Cam 7.400 Push-rods and Hot Cam Question??

I got the Hot Cam from my buddy. That is brand new he went with a bigger cam and I just want to go with this cam for my DD and the price buit anyway. I got the Cam, LS6 Sprins and I also got Comp Cam 7.400 Hard push-rods also gettng a timing chain and LS6 POil Pump. Are the 7.400 A good push-rod for this Cam. With out having them ticking sounds or should I get some other kind of pushrod?? Let me know. Thanks guys

I just got a set of 7.4 pushrods too for this cam. I will be installing it all this weekend. The stock PR length is 7.4, and this is a GM cam, so I assume all is well. Even if they happen to come up a little short it wouldnt be terrible. Id say the most they would be short is by .025 and that is a common issue here.

7.4 should work fine with that small a cam, stock rockers, heads & gaskets.
