Anyone running a 2.08" valve on a stock CID motor?

Default Anyone running a 2.08" valve on a stock CID motor?

What's your setup? I know this is a broad question, but just curious if any one out there has heads with big valves in them with a 3.898" bore.

When ported LS1 heads were first becoming available, there were people with 2.08 valved setups, but I don't hear about this any more.

Had a set of ETP 225cc heads with Ferrea 2.1"/1.6" with 5/16" valve stem's in them. Made excellent HP & TQ with a large cam( 240/240 @ .050" dur) in my cousin's C5 Vette.

I think most people prefer smaller valves because the heads are much easier to cam. Plus with a 2.08 valve, shrouding is an issue.

I have 2.08 valves in my small bore AFR 225s. They work very well, but as stated, there is more chamber/bore shrouding compared to the AFR 205s with their 2.02 valves. I make excellent power with a small cam nontheless.

2.08 here but no dyno numbers , I bought the heads and cam from SLP as a package about 2 years ago . It was their 500hp package before the AFR heads they are using now, But even the AFRs have the 2.08 valve.
