Default Finally finished my black outs!

Well after about two weeks i've finally gotten all my black outs done. I blacked the tails and the front and rear sidemarkers. It took me about a week or coating and wet sanding to get the sidemarkers done. Anouther week to do the tails. I'm very impatcient and this was killing me to see what they would look like on the car. I don't know if i need to clear coat them but there is no clear on them now. and they shine because i wet sanded again with 2000 grit and polished them like i did the center section with meguirs Plastix. I do need to get a rubbing compound that is a little more abrassive to get a few spots. Well here they are just a few quick snap shots i'll have to get more with better lighting. I also have to go and detail the whole car again its a little dusty from sitting in my garage.

Looks like someone else decided to take my path & leave the reverse lights clear. Looks good man. Here is mine with 3 coats of Duplicolor SUV clear coat.

yea i polished them by hand it would have probably been better with a buffer. my arm was real tired afterward.

yep i decided to leave the backups clear i don't like purple reverse lights

Thanks for all the compliments

Looks great!

I am doing my corners with VHT tomorrow. Got some sand paper, VHT and Clear coat sitting in my garage.

I should be able to finish it in a day or so. I sure hope it doesnt take a week.
