Default Pacific raceway or Bremerton?

Hey guys I get to come home for a little vacation and see my car

I was wanting to race my brother while I am home, but I was looking at Bremerton and was worried my car will be too loud, are they really strci about the noise thing??

What about pacific raceway, I ahve been there to watch but never to race.

My car should run a high 11. Is there anything else I would need besides a helmet? I can get a DS loop before I go too.

I never heard anything about that at bremerton, that wouldnt make much sense since they let funny cars drag there. I could be wrong but i think if your running an 11 you need a cage( ask 00Vette). I dont care much for pacific because it seems like its always really crowded during the testntune, so you may only get a couple of runs in a night.

Cage is only 11.50 and quicker though right?? I though they had changed that. My car isn't that fast, well it would be a pleasent surprise.

I got the muffler thing off of Bremertons site.

11.50 is the limit before a cage is required.

Ya im thinking it is 11.5 or quicker, I'm pretty sure thats NHRA regs. I really would not worry about it being too loud, when i went a couple weeks ago there was alot of loud cars there, an if they did kick you out cuz of that...well thats just f'n gay. They're pretty laid back tho, the guy didn't even look under my hood for tech inspection!

As long as yo have a muffler you should be OK. I mean, they let ME run, and I think my car is louder than yours (& I've never even heard yours). But you will need a Snell 2000 helmet & a DS loop to run 11.5 or slower in a non-vert car. Any faster & you need things like a roll bar & a fire jcaket.

Mark is correct. It kinda looked like you typed high 11.1's, which is low 11's! But if your indeed running slower than 11.5, all you'll need is a driveshaft loop and helmet. Make sure like Mark said, that the helmet is a snell 2000 rated helmet or newer. Are you running nitrous? If so you'll need a 3.2 rated fire jacket (correct Mark? ).

Other than that, you should be fine! Noise will never be an issue........ I'm betting my car is louder than yours and Marks is louder than mine.

Hope to meet you and see this bad car your talking about.

You are supposed to have mufflers at Bremerton but they do not enforce it.

I would recommend Bremerton because you can run many times there, unlike Pac Raceway that is so overcrowded and you wait in a line of 50 cars to run once every other hour...

Great thanks for the info guys!!

Is there any dates between about the 15th of May and 12th of June when I could come and meet you guys and run??

My car isn't that fast yet, My All-pro heads are at AI in N.C. and my new motor is still in pieces. I'm cam only right now, best times were 7.8's in the 1/8 but that was many, many mods ago and on motor. I might try to get the spray woking while I'm home and see what I can break.

You'd have to have one seriously loud car for it to be too loud for either track. Even if you had a 4th gen with open headers on it, it still wouldn't be too loud.

I had one day at Pacific Raceways where I got 2 runs in 8 hours. I had to wait 5 hours between the first and second run, and finally just gave up trying to get a third one. If you go on T&T days, that track gets seriously packed. You have to run in a bracket to get more than 2-3 passes.
