I'd go with the Crane cam on that one if you want to stay small. You can go larger with stock heads without a problem. It'll just be that much more of a power increase if you ever do get heads.

If that's the only thing holding you back, may I recommend the Comp 503 cam.

I've had a hot cam in before its really like the 503 but it seemed to require quite a bit of tuning to actually get the real gain out of it. Dont know exactly how it would affect putting in a nice wet kit untuned. thats why i was looking at cams i really wouldn't have to spend money on tunning.

The hot cam is nothing like the 503. Anything larger than the hotcam will definitely require tuning. Why are you going to even bother putting a cam in if you're not gonna cough up another $150 or so for a tune? Waste of time, IMO.

The stock LT1 does very well with a wet shot of nitrous as it is. If that's all you wanna do then stay stock.

Both cams are going to be within a few HP of eachother. However, since you're talking about doing a wet kit, I would go with the CC304 due to it having a wider LSA. (114 vs. Crane's 112.)

Less overlap ='s less wasted NOS.

The motor is out and it currently has a cc306 in it. I have a hot cam and a cc304 in the garage as well. I know the big cam is more hassel to tune and will require a stall since im doing the a4 thing now. Thats y I wanted to go small so i wouldn't have to spend what might seem close to another 1000 on tune combined will a good stall from like yank or someone just as good. I was thinking since there is not much to be had with a cc306 and stock heads might as well go with a sleeper. Still considering others opinions though.

There are plenty of people running the cc306 with stock heads. You can't rev as high and won't make as much power as you will with ported heads, but you can do it.

If you want the sleeper then the cc304 would definitely be better. Unless you're spraying over 200 shot, the LSA doesn't really make much difference.

Like I said before, no matter what you should get a tune. www.PCMforless.com they can hook you up for much less than you're thinking. I'm not an auto guy so I don't know TCs.
