Default Steering Racks..

Today I got a good pic comparing the LT1 to LS1 Steering Racks. The LS1 puts the Linkage farther away from the Engine, and it's a smaller Linkage piece. It might clear Headers alot better in a LT1 car.
Hopefully someone will be able to check into this with a LT1.. I am dropping in my LS2, I know that it will clear good for it.

it wont because lt1 headers go around the rack, if you used the ls1 rack i think it would hit that one primary...but this would be a good idea for custom header/turbo guys!
i just got mine today merv, its going in hoping to get a dynotune early nex week! WOOHOO

That being said I hope my LT1 rack clears my LS1 turbo project! As long as the manifold clears it, I can fab up the pipes around it.

I know Hooker and maybe the SLP LT's have a slip fit around the rack on the #1 primary tube. I don't think Pacesetters do but not sure.
