i'm going to be in the market for a newer car soon enough, and the three im interested in are the Charger 5.7 Hemi, Grandprix GXP, and Monte SS...its going to be driven daily what do u think i should get?????

I'm a GM guy and always have been but the Charger is Rwd which is nice and from what i heard goes pretty good for a full-size 4 door sedan.
The monte is fwd and for a front wheel drive, has ridiculous power, and i think it would be kewl to take something a little different than what most have and make is fast.
The GXP is basically a monte with cross drilled rotors, a HUD, and tap shift...

all three are in my price range with the monte being the cheapest and the charger the most expensive... ive thought about a GTO but they are getting all the money, not to mentiont i dont know how well i would do driving a 400hp rwd everyday, i'd prob end up beating on it nonstop and getting a few speeding tickets. :judge:

Is the Monte Carlo line going to be dropped by Chevrolet soon? I like the GXP's looks...that using a 5.3 also? My friend's got a SRT8 Charger 6.1. Goes very good, but a real heavyweight. He had a Magnaflow catback installed...sounds great. He hasn't gotten into the computer yet, or been to the track w/it. Rides, handles and stops very good. Great interior quality. I'd say it's a mid-13 sec. car as it sits. 5.7's maybe 2-3 tenths slower? His needs premium fuel, as well...($$$) You might get the best deal on the Monte, if they're phasing them out... :) WJ

if you are considering any GM product, go with a 2007 model. they have teh 100k mile warranty :)
on that list i would say the charger r/t will be the best riding and has teh most space for stuff. like wj said, it gets along ok but it isn a heavy weight. tough on gas and not exactly the fastest thing around if you are worried about that.
the GM stuff has the lowest insurance cost ratings and with displacement on demand they get way better mileage than the hemi.

Grand Prix is my pick but will prob dropped soon and replaced with the G8. My suggestion is GTO just because you could still get a 06 leftover for dirt cheap here in NJ.

Personally I would go with a GTO... but from that list I would take the charger.

Bias opinion ..... Go with the GTO..

Four doors..... Grand Prix GXP (wait for the G8) or Cadillac CTS-V....

Today (5/4) is the last day for any orders for Monte's... and June is when they stop production of them... and then the Monte is no more...

so you should be able to get a good deal on any Monte's left on dealer's lots...
