Default New Top End Combo Give Me Your Hp Estimates

Currently I have a 375 ci iron block setup built by ARE back in early 2001.
59cc 5.3 stage II heads @ 11.5 COMPRESSION, Lunati 237/242 56X/56X 114 cam, Fast 90 setup and 1-3/4 Groty headers. Thru my 4L80E AND 9" I put down 390 rwhp.

The new setup consists of:

TSP CNC L92 HEADS MILLED TO 65CC WITH CUSTOM COMETIC GASKET FOR 11.3 COMPRESSION.

L76 INTAKE PACKAGE W/ 90MM TB FROM MY CURRENT FAST SETUP

COMP CAM 236/242 640/647 114 This cam was sitting around so I'm trying it, although it may not be perfect. But since the L92 cam selection seems to be all over the place I figured I would try it before shelling out 300 - 400 for a different cam.

I have an estimated guess of 470 RWHP?

What do you think?

Setup will be installed and tuned by the end of next week. Then the 2 stage kit goes back on.

Default My SWAG

I think that 470 is real close. I've got a similar setup (402/L92) with a slightly different cam (236/249). I'll be real happy with 480-490.

My Cartex clutch is on the way and I don't know how much longer I can wait for the caddy lifters.

470 would be great.. 430 well OK.
The great part of this whole swap is that Im only out ~ $ 1300.00 for everything after I sell the parts that just came off the car, so even if it is only 430 that is still 40 RWHP FOR $1300.00

I agree. That cam is way short of lift for the L92's but let us know.

The setup you had was a ~450 rwhp setup through a m6. Figure a 60 hp difference for the auto and 9".

I guess time will tell on the lift numbers. Keep in mind this motor was built in 2001. I don't recall stock stroke, .060 over 6.0 liters making 450 to the tires 6 years ago. Keep in mind that a lot of advancements in camshaft design and headporting have been made in the past 6 years.

Since when is .640/.647 lift short for a 375 ci engine? Let me guess, you would run a 3/4 race solid roller cam.

Yo BDG, The new sutup, TRUE. 485/450 thats my prediction. Sorry you miss the Vette but what the hell is a 99 Nut Hugger Z?

What pistons are you running? Are you worried about PTV clearance?

Not really sure what to guess on the new setup, but I'd be interested to hear more about the heads when you pull them and get them ready to sell
