Default picking up z06 tonight.....im i getting a good deal.

here are the details....02 electron blue z06 with 30k miles. Excellent condition. 1 owner, clean car fax and the guy is 65 years old. when he bought the car he sent it to breathless performance to do the following.....z06 stage 2b performance upgrade. vortex ram air, vortex power duct and silicon couples, bpp ported throttle body, throttle body bypass, msd plugs/wires,corsa 3.5 pro series exhaust, bpp x-pipe, bpp long tube headers, dyno tuned 460hp 398rwhp, lowering kit all done by breathless. he was asking $33,000 for it...we finally agreed on $28,000 even. Excellent Deal!

Low miles, older owner, simple bolt-on mods are all taken care of (would have costed you around $4,000 with the corsa exhaust and headers).

Congrats!

That power should be good for 11's easy, but I didnt see any major power adder that would warrant the high #'s. I believe there are cam only LS6 cars putting down a little over 420 rwhp, so those #'s dont seem on par with a bolt-on Z06. Might have somthing hidden that the owner didnt telly ou about to obtain those #'s. Either way, it sounds like a great buy, Id get it if I had the $. Good luck!

398rwhp=not gonna happen with those mods unless he left out heads or a cam swap.

they put down 370's stock to the wheels so you dont think with headers x-pipe no cats corsa exhaust and tuning couldnt get 20+hp? i thought it sounded reasonable. he has all the receipts from breathless.

I Dont Beleive His Dyno Numbers Are Right. 460hp Is To High With Minor Boltons.

well breathless perfromance claims 460hp from that package but he dynoed 398rwhp on a mustang dyno dunno if that makes a difference.

370 is a little high for a stocker, but no matter. I suppose you might get 28rwhp out of headers and all the other crap, but I'd wager its more a case of the dyno reading a little high on both the baseline and the final run.

I think he's saying 460 flywheel and 398 to the wheels, def. possible with bolt-ons.

Sounds like a good deal!

345-355 stock on a Dynojet, 370 with bolt ons. There is no way it is putting down 398rwhp on a Mustang dyno, not with those mods.

That is a great price though!

Hhmmm bolt-ons... Dyno numbers are way high especially using a Mustang dyno !!!

Dynojet numbers/stock ~ 355hp +/- 10

with CAI & headers ~ 380hp +/- 10

add a small cam ~ 410hp +/- 10

This is from a number of 02/03 Z06's and are pretty typical when comparing other reports.

If I was looking to buy that car... I would do a leak-down test. If that checks out... then... it looks like a good deal.
