Hi, I have a 2000 WS6 and the A/C is dumping water into the passanger floor area and pooling in the low points around the Cat hump. The thing is this isn't the first time it has happened, I had it fixed at the dealer about a year and a half ago. If i remember right it was just a clogged up drainage tube somewhere and I don't want to spend money to get it unclogged again when i could presumably do it on my own.
Anyways i was wondering if this is a common problem among F-bodies and if anyone could direct to where exactly the clog is and what's the best way to get rid of it before i start taking this apart to find it on my own.
Before any one says it i already did :search: to no avail.

PS i think this might be my first post so hi all!

Bad heater core will drip water in that area, and if its bad, it'll dump it in there.

I don't think its a common problem, mine is 9 years old.

No I don't think it is the heater core as this has happened before and the dealer said it was a clogged drain tube... thanks though!
Anybody else?

I've never heard of a drain tube over there. But, have you checked whatever tube it was they were talking about?

Under normal conditions the AC condensate drain should leak clear water under the passenger side of the car near the firewall. If you're not getting water under the car the drain is probably clogged again. Don't have a pic of the drain on the LS1 and it's hard to find.

Don't know if it's exactly the same, but here's what it looks like on a '95: http://shbox.com/1/a_c_drain.jpg Gently probe with a small piece of wire and see if it drains.

Screw the dealer, take it to any A/C mechanic/shop, they'll find it.
