confused 918 sping numbers.
Hey guys i used the part numbers for the 918 springs that i got from wickedZ's cam write up. I don't know if i got the wrong retainers and wrong degree. The retainers part number is 774-16, So if i'm going to be running the .05 locks what do my retainers have to be.
63-795-16
that part number does not work through summit racing. This is where i think i went wrong. I think i got the wrong retainers for my springs as well. I think that my 774-16 retainers are the wrong ones or are they correct. Will this combination produce the right installed height for my springs. I just really wanna get this right so i don't have to worry about it once i put the heads together. Thanks a ton
I believe that these are the right retainers that i need to use.

63-794-16 Comp Cams 10 degree Titainium Retainer for Comp 26918 valvespring.
63-795-16 Comp Cams 10 degree Steel Retainer for Comp 26918 valvespring.
both Comp retainer part numbers...Wasn't able to find a 774-16 part number in the LT1-LT4 section...(used Thunder Racing as a refrence) so they might not have that ...
And as far as I was told By Shane if you're running 10* retainers your going to want to ue the 10* locks as well..Dunno why really, still kinda new to the Valve train componets myself...If I'm wrong or going in the wrong direction Someone feel free to chime in....only going by what I was told

774-16 Steel 7 degree
772-16 Titanium 7 degree
Seems confusing to me.

OK i think i finally figured this out I have to return the retainers
CCA-774-16 and get CCA-795-16
Return my locks CCA-614-16 and get CCA-611-16. Could someone tell me the difference between these 2 locks if possible. I tried to figure it out. The ones i have an installed seat height of .050 when installed isn't that what you want for the LT1 heads. Thanks for any help

make sure you count the locks and retainers before you put them in, I was shorted one half of a lock and now I am waiting to get the car running, it sucks, but on the bright side Summit shipped me some new ones no questions asked

611 - Lash cap recess.
614 - +.050 W/O cap recess.
I'm not sure about the 611 locks. The one I recently did used 918 springs, 975 retainers and 614 locks and 4705 locators to get the springs proper at 180 install height for the 847 cam. FYI, The S/A rockers we planned to use made contact with the retainers so we had to switch none S/A rockers and guide plates.
The link below list all the parts + numbers ( and beer required ) that we used for the cam install:
