Default Help...ballpark a figure

I have a '00 V6 bird. I want an LS1 or LS2. I'm thinking about just using my T5 (probably rebuild it). Any of you guys have a ballpark figure for how much the whole thing would cost after I got all the necessary parts NOT including the engine or tranny? And approx. what would somebody charge to make the swap? Any help at all is appreciated. Thanks

Would suggest to forget about the T5 if you switch to an LS1 or LS2. Complete used LS1/T56 combo w/ headers, ECU, wiring, ....etc. run around $3K to $10K depending on mileage & year. The swap labor could run from $1,800 to $3,000 including modifying the exhaust. If a new exhaust is needed, it will be more. Of course, these are ballpark figures. You may also consider selling the 2000 V6 Bird & buying a 00 V8 Bird. It may cost less. Good luck

And once your V-6 car is sold, you should have no problem finding & buying the LS1 car. Time is the issue here. Not to mention all the little items you will always be chasing. If the V-6 car is your primary transportation, you have to consider this as well.

Yeah, I thought that would be the case. I just really wanted to keep my first car. I'll probably just buy a bike instead. Thanks for all the help guys.
