Default headgasket questions

hypothetically, if my head gaskets blew out and i had to replace them, and i decided to go with the impala gaskets, would i need to retune since its bumping up the cr?

i know, i'd think get an answer by now. im curious because if it nets a few hp, a repair could turn into a possible modding opportunity

but i want to see if the tune would be off because... you know, those tuning things are goofy.

Personally I would get one cause the LT1 is really touchy with that cause of the factory Cam.

I put the Mr. Gasket .026" compressed height head gaskets on my LT1 truck and it has no issues. Factory tune.

If you went with the Victor Reinz .026" head gaskets it should (in theory) increase the motors resistance to detonation. The better quench is really more usefull than the higher static compression ratio. (they are both good to have so it's a win-win).

I don't think you would need a re-tune.

No cause the Rocker Ratio isn't high enough to mess up the angle to where it would offset the Valves.
