i heard that the GTO depreciate quickly, it aint going to be worth alot, and the camaro SS would have a better resale value, save the money and mod the SS, plus they look more intimidating than a grand am look alike with ram air.

See, if I daily drove it, GTO all the way. The dash is nice, seats feel great, and the car is understyled, perfect for not attracting attention. You can even take it to lunch with some colleagues.
Now, as a dedicated car to screw around in, SS all the way.

GTO is good, but it doesnt flash out at me saying muscle car, the new ones just dont look it much, i would keep your car or wait for the brand new camaro ss, that would be sick!

Another vote for keeping your SS. I went looking at GTOs a few months back when I was considering trading in my Z28. They are really nice cars, but they don't give me the same feel that my Z does. In the GTO I felt like "Ok, now this is a nice car." In the Camaro I feel like "Ok, now this is a muscle car!" 
. Plus with the new Camaro getting closer to production I can have both a 4th and 5th gen

The day my Camaro is paid off it's going in the garage and I'm getting an 09. I want to keep the 99 though to either return to stock one day or make a drag car. We'll see where my financial situation takes me.
