New Numbers, and a big thanks to Eastside
Finally got out to Eastside to make a few dyno pulls with the Nitro Dave's plate kit I installed over the winter. Made a pull on the motor first, came out almost exactly the same as last year, 428/389. Then made a pull on the spray with the 50hp jets I had in just to test out the kit. Got 475/446 with the small ones. Bumped up to the 100 jetting I plan on running this year, and the hit upset the chasis a little bit on the dyno, so the curve looks like a sine wave. It spiked to 578 because of that, but with smoothing (still a bit bumpy) got 544/563. If it were a perfect curve, I'd say its probably ~530/550, which means the kit is jet pretty accurately. A/F was pretty steady 11.9-12.3 while the juice was on, though it did lean spike at first on the 100 hit to ~13:1. That's with a Racetronix kit too. Not much I can do about that I suppose.
Of course I owe a big thanks to Eastside, Ken, Sean, and the younger guy who helped me out on the dyno who's name of course I can't remember. Some of the nicest most standup guys you'll find around, it's always a pleasure to visit. And they were extremely generous with their rates for the service, I only wish I was able to stop by more often and have them do more work for me then just a once a year tune. Well, one of these days after 7 years of frequent abuse I imagine the stock 346 will throw in the towel, and I'll have them build me a nice 402
Anyways, I'm happy with the results, honestly not really hung up on the numbers - they are pretty sweet though! - just wanted to make sure the A/F was good and everything worked right. Looking forward to testing it out on the 25th at the LVD rental.
