More progress on my turbo kit...56k get some dinner
There are still a couple of things I need to address...
1) The Power steering boost is the size of a small country and I need to find a solution to free up space
2) Clearance may be tight infront of the motor with the starter, fuel pump and vacuum pump, may look at a Meziere water pump without the belt drive. Anyone have a good solution for a high AMP alternator in a compact package?
3) The driver side header had to be redone to allow for clearance in the steering shaft, we have about 3/4" of clearance now.
4) Need to decide if I am going to do an A2A or A2W intercooler, just can't seem to decide both have advantages and disadvantages
5) Need also to decide if I need a flex section or two on the turbo crossover pipes. Motor is plated, turbo is solid mounted to the frame
Headers: 1 3/4" Mild Steel 16g
Downpipe: 5" Mild Steel 14g -> 5" 14g aluminum out the back
Crossover: 2.5" MS 16g with the wastegates right off the collectors as it turns to make the run towards the turbo
Intercooler: 4" aluminum
Wastegates: Twin Tial 44mm
Blow Off Valves: Twin Tial 50mm
Turbo: S95
Anywho the pics

What trick things are you doing to get the weight out of that thing? We never had much luck getting an fbody light but we never did anything extreme like lexan, carbon fiber, etc.
