speed density vs mass air
bought a LT1 without wiring harness and computer or MAF. rebuilding the engine for about 400 hp and am wondering if i can choose to go speed density or MAF depending on how the computer is tuned?? which system would be better??

I wish I could find it but I had a diagram of the was speed density calculates air flow VS MAF, MAF was a 2-3 step process as speed density was like 15+. MAF is more simple.

But is simple always better? Simple leaves room for error. Complex can cover more areas. ECM's are able to crunch numbers fast enough where 3 of 15 doesn't really matter.

SD is harder to tune..but can help depending upon the intake setup. if you flow so much the maf is a bottleneck, then you should go SD. otherwise, maf will make it run better part throttle most of the time
