Fuddle WOT Lockup Finally got to try this out, I changed my tune to lock at 90MPH
at 94% - 100% TPS. But then I forgot all about it. I did an uphill
pull on one of the local causeways (not saying
) for other
tuning reasons and noticed a "punk shift" in the middle of 3rd,
felt like it shifted early and acceleration slowed a little. Scratched
my head over that while reviewing the log file before I figured it
out. It was the converter locking (as commanded, 90MPH) and it
locked real good.

Lockup at 4900RPM (ish) took out 400RPM of slip, and if you
squint at the before- and after-locked MPH/time slopes you
can see locking, at <5000RPM, costs some small amount of
delivered acceleration - my converter is evidently still doing a
little torque multiplication, because the same RPM point before
lock has higher slope than the same RPM, after lock.
I didn't hear a peep out of the converter while doing this; not
like my old one, which let out an angry hoot when I tried that.
Have to say that "WOT lockup capable" is a fact. This is the
HP/Street model, 3500/2.0 build.
I think I'll raise the lock-point to 5500RPM's MPH value just for
yucks.

jimmy, get some track comparisons I'd be interested to see what this would do for one pass. if it's worth anything i'd try doing the same thing to get a personal best.
