Torquer 3 cam only
I have a 2001 z28 6spd I am shopping for a cam now and i have long tubes, lid and true duals. I want to run the torquer 3 or torquer 2 they both are in between to small and too big from what i am reading online. I have done searches for the the torquer 3 but there isnt much info on it. I have heard you need to run 7.425 pushrods to get optimum performance. Any one have a cam only dyno? All opinions on this cam are welcome. Thanks

I ordered a Torquer V3 with 7.425" pushrods. I haven't installed them yet, but from what I've have read you will need a little bit longer pushrod than stock 7.400" pushrods. I've also read about *maybe* getting 7.450" for the intake and 7.425" for the exhaust, but I just got all 16 at the 7.425". Hopefully some V3 owner can chime in with his pushrod length.

I have been running the T3 cam only since last September. I used the PR's that TSP included with the kit (stock length). I have a slight sewing machine sound. I can hear it, although others have told me they cannot.
Here is a link to my cam only numbers after I had a local tuner play with it while I watched and learned. I am doing my own tuning now and plan to go back and re-do the VE table. I am still timming +10% in some areas.

I see that you are being told that the T3 is too big for the street. Personally I don't agree. I DD mine and even untuned it was driveable. Very lean at WOT but driveable. She roared to life on the first crank and settled to an 850rpm idle.
I think you will be happy with the T3.

yea im looking at this cam and the ms3 with a built in advance like a 112+4 the idea just came accross my mind today after reading a post about a ms4 with a built in advance just curious about the idea. If that doesnt work out im gonna order the t3 since it has some serious lowend but the high lift makes me wonder if should change out my 90k stock lifters as well.

Give 'ole TSP a call and see what they think about the 112+4. I have a friend who has the MS3 on a 113. Drives nice and he loves it. I have not gone for a ride with him, but he says its streetable for him.
As for the lifters, because I am paranoid, I would swap them if they were mine.

How do you like those heads? I am kicking around the Trickflows or those. How did you set them up? Milled...?

The T3 on a 111 (as sent from TSP..actually a 111+1) will clear with stock heads. Install her dot to dot.
The idle is very respectable. Has a mean lope and will turn plenty of heads. I run Jethot longtubes, a Mufflex ORY, and a Borla catback. Instead of using the Borla block off plates I installed a QTP cutout.
Driveability is fine and only gets better with a good tune. I had a little cam surge in the lower gear/rpm range. I recommend against going WOT until it is tuned. My LTFT's had been maxed at +25% prior to the tune and she was running lean both in normal driving and WOT.
This cam will like a bit more gear. I figure 3.73 or 4.10's.
Again... you wont be dissappointed with the Torquer 3.
