How long does a verter last
How long does a converter last with DD'ing and say 2 WOT pulls a week? Right now I have a Stage II tranny that is rated at 400 RWHP and I will be spraying over the summer so I'm upgrading the tranny. My question is if I've had my tranny/converter for a year and a half, do i need to get the converter rebuilt etc.? How long should it last? Thanks!

i run a 4000 stall from Fuddle and have had it in the car well over a year and have vut best of mid 1.5 60 foot times and have driven it on many many hundreds of mile trips with no problems. My best advice to you is get the best trans cooler you can afford, that will help with the life of your TC and trans

My Fuddle 3600 just died this week. the lockup clutch wont hold anymore. got about 25,000 miles, and around 35 track passes out of it. Installed last july. this was their street version. Just upgraded to their HP version with the extra clutch surface. Installing with a new performabilt level2. Hope to get better than a year this time. The stock tranny was still hanging in there with 125,000 miles and 10 years of severe abuse but wont shift 2-3 wot after it gets hot anymore.

That's funny my old Vig 3200 lasted 3 years also...But, it didn't have no 68k on it...more like 15k miles Maybe 30 strip passes....Went back to Yank after that Vig took out my tranny.... So, you never know how long their going to last. I do plan on having them rebuilt every 3 years now just to be sure....well, except for my old YTP 4000 in Twofast4lv's car, 5 years of abuse including 600+rearwhp out of the car and still going strong.

heymoe you shitstirrer. yeah that was quite an upgrade I made there. That was the last time I got to drive my then dependable camaro to work. Worst part was I sold a low mile stock tranny out of a wreck to buy my "indestructible" level 2.
