PCM Diagnostics & Tuning - EFILive 2 Step...ok for FI? Anybody using?

Anybody using the EFILive 2-step function on their forced induction car? The method used to control rpm is fuel cut. I always thought cutting fuel in a forced induction car was a no-no. Any thoughts? Is it safe?

i asked the exact same question and everyone said NO.....i just kept my harlan 2 step

Depends on if you are making boost at that rpm cutoff point.

No, it really doesn't depend. A fuel cut rev limiter is useless for a two step. A fuel cut is only good for saving parts from a hard over rev, and it still isn't as good as a spark cut. The ONLY thing a fuel-cut is good for is saving a cat converter.

Yep, a fuel is cutoff it is not lean, it is a air pump. Also flame temperature starts falling off FAST after 14.7 so even if there is some fuel kicking around there is not much to go on and without a stratified charge knock is nearly impossible.

Additional research (i.e. speaking with my tuner), confirmed this.
