2002 Z28 Odd options Whats it worth
I've been in the hunt for a LS1 pref. 00-02
Well I found one after a sweet SS got stolen out from under me.
2002 LS1 M6 with 30789 on the ODO
Clean Carfax
Car is overall pretty clean.
Now what is weird to me
It has cloth interior, Crank windows, manual doorlocks, manual everything. Heck I dont even know if it has a tilt wheel.
The guy wants 12,900 for it.
I dont think the price is bad but I dont know if I wanna drop the money on one with hardly any options.
Also could this be one of those LE cars?

That's about right, he's asking the Blue Book value. It's the base model, same as my '01. I like the stripper version, less stuff to break.... I think its a 1SC or SC1 on the build sheet, I can't quite remember off the top of my head and my build sheet's at the house.

You shouldn't really be worried about the price, since it's pretty good. However, make sure you know whether you want power windows/locks/etc or not, since you'll probably be using them on a daily basis. Personally, I wouldn't buy a stripper because I wouldn't want to live without the power options, but you may or may not feel differently about them.

Pretty good find, it's a hardtop too probably right? Excellent base for performance, pretty much the best F-body you can find for building up a sick car. Price is good for an 02 with low mileage, so you get the lightest LS1 f-body, hartop and all the perks of the 02 models (LS6 manifold, stronger rod bolts, less junk in the engine bay, the T56 internals have some revised components, etc.)
Good find.
Good find.

My car has power everything. After having a window motor go bad and feeling how heavy power seats are I would much rather my car have no power options.
I'm really into making my car go faster though so weight may not be so much of a factor to you.

I got the best of both worlds. A hardtop Formula. It has power windows and locks but nothing else. I like lightweight but I don't want to be cranking windows and using a key to unlock the car.

Well how many owners has it had? Did it have a lien on it or something (twice lol) ?
Just check it out real good and look for things to lower the price ya know? Although with low mileage you might not find anything. Show them the oil in the intake manifold (LS1 PCV system ) and make it out to be something serious (worked for me, saved 500$). Too bad you can't complain about slow power windows .

Carfax only reports what is reported to insurance companies. SO if there was an accident and not reported...it won't show. Also it shows registration with mileage...that's about it. If you want better/more info. find a friend at a GM dealership to run an oasis on the VIN for you.
