If I remember correctly its a TA that he put the Mecham hood/spoiler on.
The paint work isnt my personal taste but unique for sure, I remember reading a thread on a big cube F-1 procharged motor coming together for it. It should easily be making around 700+ to the ground from my memory of the build specifications.
IMO the Mechams are the best looking and by far most unique of the fourth gen Pontiacs with the 30th running close behind. The hood and rear spoiler are more than appearance, function was just as important in there design. I would agree though that you need some good power to back up the bold appearance.
