Default Weather Stripping...

Well, I figured I've give the LT1 section a try, since most of the people in the Firebird area, who post, are LSx people.

So, I'll just copy and paste everything form there to here.

Alright, my right door's around the window is hashed from either trying to get in with a coat hangar or a dog (previous owners). My right window doesn't seem to puff up enough to make a seal on the window towards the back. So basically I figure I need new weather stripping. Would you say #6 is what I need?

Also, would this be also the correct P#s?

That's from the LT1 Newbie Part Numbers FAQ. Has damn near every part number you could think of.

On that note, anyone know where to get it cheaper than $220? I have to fix my Drv window AGAIN so this is starting to suck. I can't even wash my car and I haven't drove in the rain yet either :\

Thanks in advance. Any info helps (Even a Yes on it being #10)

EDIT: I checked GM Parts Direct on those 2 Part Numbers and I'm a bit leery. They're only $32 each, but if that's it, it'd be awesome. I have a feeling it's #9 on that diagram from the first link. Which I really don't understand what that is.

EDIT2: NM that seems to be this piece

Should have asked you for that too - side note: did I need to still get the center console from you?

There are plenty of cars being parted out in the FS forms that are LT1's. It might be worth checking there.

Yea, I don't plan on buying used either.

The one part I saw that was $53 list, and $36 "your price" was the second pic in my first post. It's the literal strip on the outside that acts sort of like a squeegee, and to keep out crap from falling inside your door.

Mines not a T-Top, but if you could get me part numbers, and maybe an exploded diagram showing which part is $53 (like in my first link), that would be really awesome. Even the part number would work and I can then take it to the dealer. The one dealer is open till 3am, it's pretty nifty, parts too.

maybe next time I should read your entire post. my bad.

Only you know which part is the one you need, we can't see your car. After reading your post again, it sounds like item #6, in your link, is what you need - and for $93+ shipping, I say get it.

I couldn't find the actual GM part number. only could find the t-top part number. Your parts department can tell you the part number.

Well right, but It's $93 for the Pass and $122 for the Driver :\ If it was JUST $93, I would just flat out get it heh
