Unhappy A4 Tranny Problem

I had a normal drive home from work yesterday , I pull in my driveway and I shift into part and the car starts rolling. Park appears to be gone. Reverse, neutral & drive seem to be working fine. It's just park that is gone. Well not entirely. I discoved today at the gas station that if I slam it into park it will engage.

Has anyone experienced this or can point me in the direction as to where to look or what might be the problem?
