Max stock crank HP
What are your HP numbers on a stock crank ??? Trying to figure out if I can safely get away with shot-peening the crank, H-beam rods, and forged pistons. I've done this on typical SB chevys and I'm sure it would work for an LS1, but I'm new to the LS1 world. Going to be doing heads/cam, and nitrous. Let me know.

I've seen people running about 850HP with a stock crank. It can be done.
But from the reading that I've done, you don't want to cross the 600HP mark.
Over 600 and you are driving time bomb.

nope, torn the car down. The block, pistons, and crank have been in my truck for the last 35k miles. Daily driver at 12 to 13 psi on 93 pump, figure that's in the 700 crank range Had to rebalance for steel versus aluminum rods, that's about it.
I've never had a stock crank fail, but then again I didn't want to push it much farther than I was.
