yeah. i was thinking running an LSX around 450-452 CID. I just need a heads cam combo. It'll probably be a long stroke engine (getting close to the 4.5 inch limit)

LSX block or warhawk when it comes out, huge ci (450+ ci), solid roller, ls7 style heads, carb intake, high compression...thats about it

Here we go again, throwing caution in the wind. If you have to ask then you can't handle that much power, sorry thats my opinion.

I tend to agree.

...and asking in the general LSx forum isn't going to generate any
REAL answers.

98Z28MASS is on the right track. It's going to take a LOT of $$$.

A highlimit credit card and a reputable shop can get you where your going. But anything short of that, and your SOL.

that is a 15k dollar engine and won't idle anything like stock or run on pump gas very well if at all. You need FI to be really streetable with that kind of power. Go with a turbo either 360 or 402/8 and a large single.

Id say then go forged 346 with patriot lq9 heads, a decent sized blower cam (say lg motorsports g5xb or lpe gt2-3 or even just an ls6 cam), and a procharger ds1c with FMIC (EPP has a full kit). If your looking for an all out build then go with some better heads but the lq9's are fairly cheap and have had good results and it would be better to get the best internals possible imo over a better head if your only looking for 600-700 rwhp.

I hope you have a lot of money saved up.

two years ago, we made 765 rwhp N/A through a Jerico 4 speed and 9". (29" tall ET Drags)

That was with a sheetmetal, LS6 heads, LS6 block. (Darton sleeved 4.125 bore x 4.000 stroke)

lots of compression, solid roller and $$$$$$
