5.3 starter question???

5.3 starter question??? Im Goin to be putting a 05 5.3L out of a truck into my 90' camaro. My questions is do I have to use a gen III starter or will an old school gm starter work. The car has a 283 in it not, dont ask why, I bought it this way.
