Default Gay *** tail light covers

I bought some black tail light covers for my camaro, the left side fits perfect and snug but the right side is all loose and about to fall off if the car actually moved. Any ideas what I can do to get it to stay there?

It may sound kinda redneck-ish, but I would try some clear silicone caulk on the backside of the covers around the outer lip and use it as like an adhesive. I say Silicone caulk because if you decide that you don't like the covers later on, you should be able to remove the silicone and it should look like nothing was ever there. I'm probably gonna get all kinds of ****, but I know it would work.

BTW: this is for anyone who wants to give me crap about using silicone

the silicone would work. but also maybe velcro or something. if you use velcro make sure you put it in a place where it wont block light and look like its there.

I have the carbon fiber covers on mine front and back, I noticed on the back ones you have to put the top side on first slide the bottom in an kinda tap it with your hand till you hear it snap into place. An if yours already snap in an there just not holding you may have some defective covers.

Mine held into place pretty good by themselves but for added protection I put some velcro on the back of the cover and on the tail light themselves and those suckers arent movin nowhere lol. Heres a pic of what they look like:

your description in the title of the thread says it all, get rid of them and be glad the fitment issue kept you from making such a mistake.

Just have your taillights tinted at a body shop!! That is the best way to do it IMO!
All they do is scuff them down and add a little black to the clear and then spray them!
The more coats that they apply the darker the tint..

i have covers and the right side is a little loose. anyways if you go with the painting option make sure that you use single stage black in the clear instead of regular black base coat. if you use the single stage it will give you a deeper gloss using single stage.

That's what I did with my third brakelight. It turned out great. Your covers will eventually get stolen and/or pulled off and stomped on like the ones on my '93 did (more than once). I'd just paint 'em.
