Default Oil change question (No, not "how do I do this?") :)

I've been running Mobil 1 since I got the car but I picked up 6 quarts of GC 0w30 from Autozone (cleaned them out!) for my next change. On my last change, I ran some Seafoam through the crank case for about 200 miles before the change to try to clean the crap out. Well, it seems to have helped but now when I check the oil, it is dark again like it normally was.

I've got more Seafoam for the next change but I was wondering about something. I plan to run half a can of Seafoam again for 150-200 miles and change the oil again. But, I was thinking that maybe I should run the Seafoam, change the oil with some cheapo 5w30 w/ Seafoam and a new filter and run for another 150-200 miles to clean it again. Then I'd change the oil over to GC 0w30 and a Delco filter.

Has anyone done something like this? I would imagine changing from synthetic to cheapo dyno oil for 200 miles shouldn't do anything right?

Yes, black oil means it is doing its job and suspending the carbon so that it can be drained along with the oil. I would be worried if the oil came out clean. That would mean all of the gunk was sticking to your engine. If you're worried however you should do an oil analysis. Try a search for 'oil analysis' or something like that. This is the best way to find out what is going on inside of your engine. My .02

Okay. Well maybe I'll just use the 5 quarts of Mobil 1 I've got sitting around for my next change and save the GC for after that. I'll do the "cheapo oil and seafoam" thing on the following change so it's been at least 2 changes since I've used it.

Thanks.
