Default Tq coverter opinions (Stock Z)

I have a stock 01' Z28 with a K&N. It has the 2.73, so it feels like a dog out of the hole. I want to get a converter so it cures this. This is not my daily driver, so big stalls are not out of the question. In the future, I want to do a gear (probably a 3.73), axles, cover, drag radial, and for the engine, a mild cam (Maybe LS6) and exhaust (LT's, Y-pipe, good cat-back). So this is going to be a mild street car that I want to go low 12's high 11's. This will be all motor, no spray.

Suggestions on a tq converter. I have a friend that can hook me up on a midwest coverter, but I have not read about them much. He also recommended a Vigi.

I've been kicking around the idea of going 3600-4000 stall. What do you guys think for now, and with the future modification list?

Thank you in advance.

A TCIssf3500 +3.23 or 3.42 gears would be a great way to go for drivability and performance.

It'll stall up a bit higher on the 2.73s but you'll still see a good performance gain.
