Any local stores have a 160º TStat?
I went to NAPA this eve to trade my 180 for a 160, but nothing listed a 160. The cars that did list one (like the babyLT1) used a different style and was slightly smaller OD. I won't deny the guy I talked to wasn't any sort of genius, but I figured the computer would've listed something. I need to find a 160 since I tuned my car for it, since I thought it had one in it. Scanner is reading 205-210F and since my fans are set to turn on around 180-190F, both are on all the time.
If anyone has a brand and part number, or store that'd be great. We have NAPA, Bumper to Bumper, Checker (Shucks/Kragen), Car Quest, Red Rooster and one or two others.
Thanks
I'm sure everyone knows what the LT1 TStat looks like, but just in case.

So, sadly a normal SBC doesn't work

Damn :\ While NAPA was $16, I was hoping for local. I'll wait and see if anyone here knows still.
Wish my topic edit would've updated on the main page -_-
EDIT: If this is all they have (from my search of 160 LT1) then I refuse to get one. I'll re-edit my chip before I shell out $30 for a sill TStat.

Alright, I found the Hypertech one, but I'm not liking how the pic is... That better just be a generic pic >_>

the 160 tstat for our cars is an aftermarket option, so NAPA won't list one. they only list OEM parts. u can try their performance and specialties catalog. it may have one in there, but i'm not sure.

Hmm I PM'd Sara about the part number, Cody do you have one? Or the price? I have an Advanced right up the road so that'd be awesome!
Thanks for the replies everything.

Well, there are better quality ones, I would assume. I don't think that SLP could have so much better quality to merit being double the price. I'd rather have a place to buy local.
Duralast's name scares me, I vowed never to buy something from them lol. Yet, if they are the only local brand then so be it.

Grammar is your friend!
I'd settle for the Duralast personally. It's in an easy enough spot to change, and I just have a hard time seeing a TStat going out on me. Hasn't happened yet at least!
