Default Pedal feel

I am about to buy an 02 Z28 with a cam and headers. It's coming with a brand new SPEC stage 3 clutch. I was hoping someone could describe this clutch to me.

I have a spec stage 3+ clutch in my turbo v6. It has very light pedal pressure, and the pedal engages near the top. I find it difficult to chirp second gear with this clutch. That might be the v6 torque(less) factor and the turbo loosing boost during shifts though.

How is the SPEc 3 for LS1 cars? Is it still pretty light on the pedal? Does it engage near the top? I would prefer a heavier clutch that engages near the floor, but I'm gonna take what I can get.

Most LS1 clutches are not going to have significant pedal pressure differences, and most will engage near the bottom of the pedal travel. As the clutch wears engagement will move upward.
