Default Car just dies out of nowhere while driving

Hi,
I'm totally confused on whats wrong with the car cause it just started doing what was described within the last few days. I'm cruising along (not wide open or anything) and out of nowhere the car just shuts off. So I coast off to the side of the road, sit for a second, then start it up again and everything's fine. I noticed on the way home that a red light on the dash to the left flickers on and off... it's so quick I can't tell what it says. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. Thanks

That red light is probably you're check gauges light..... I don't see why it should flicker on and off and then the cars dies though <img src="https://ls1tech.com/threads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />. Try checking you're fuel pump ground, it's right behind the drivers side head. If it is loose or someone has worked on you're car recently it might not be getting a good connection and loosing it's ground. The check gauges light lets you know that you're gauges might be in a warning area.

Yeah I figured it was the check gauges light, just wasn't sure. The only recent work I've done on the car is I took the headers off and put it back to stock. Actually today, I gave the car a once over and the negative battery terminal was a little loose... not really bad though so I tightened that, so we'll see if it's fixed or not. If not, I'll check that ground you were talking about... though I haven't been back there in a while. Thanks for the info
