i have a 2000 ls1 and i putting a th400 to it. i have a continental ls1 to th400 converter, but when i bolt the tranny to the engine i have about a 1/4" gap between the flexplate and the converter. do i need a spacer or will the stock 5.7 flexplate not work?

You're supposed to have a space between there.... Just try to bolt it in...Also, the converter probably needs to come out a bit...
