243 Head (LS4) parts swapping questions
I have a couple quick questions for anyone in the know. I've read all over this site for months now, but haven't gotten a for-sure answer.
First, is it possible to use the 1.8 LS7 exhaust rockers, as they are "LS1" style on a 243 head, i.e. for both intake and exhaust on a LS1/2/4 engine?
Second, I've read that the L92 and L76 are DoD/AFM engines, does anyone know if the intake can be used on a LS4 or engine with 243 heads.
Thanks for the help.

I don't think the rockers can be used as they are a little bit longer to accomodate for the longer valve on the LS7 head. There were pics of LS7 rockers mounted on the L92 head and the swipe pattern was ugly.
The intake for the L92 is rectangular whereas the LS6 heads are cathedral port. If you read the stickies at the top of this section it will give you all the info you need.

Your LS4 can use parts off a LS1/LS2/LS6 cars.
The L76 manifold is a no go for the 243 casting heads or anyother heads for that matter besides the L92 heads.
The LS7 rockers are also a no go. They are LS7 specific.
