Default building first ls1

Now i would never lie and say im doing the work.. but here is what im putting together and i have a shop that has a great rep in my area doing the work..

6.0L iron block .30 over
Wisco forged pistons w/ matching crome moly rings
scat h beam rods
stock crank
stock heads w/minor very minor work.(working on a deal 4 a set of stg 3 patriots)
599/601 voodoo cam
650 lift comp valve springs w/ all the high dollor extras (retrs, seats, seals ect.)
fast 90 w/ holly 90mm tb
pacesetter coated headers w/ pacesetter 3" y
through Magnaflow ss catback no cats
centerforce DF
Ls1 edited

comming soon .. strange rear end (not desided which one 9" 12 bolt ect.)
and a 250 shot down the road for those hard to clean rustang spots

what do you all think? for now its my only daily driver

Should definately roll out. I know someone with a similiar setup.

i would consider other heads than patriot. trust me i have never heard anything good about them and ive seen a few set that it looks like the cnc machine had a seizer in the intake ports.

you would be better with your stock heads but getting them ported and polished with like a 5 angle valve job.

thanks to both.. for now stock head will have to do ..

you might want a good aftermarket crank. NOT Eagle. I would recommend callies.

are you serious? thats the biggest waste of money the stock crank its good for alot of hp.

putting a forged crank in an ls1 is like putting seatbelts on a couch.

all you need is some good pistons, rods, and stock crank with arp bolts/studs.

I agree. The patriot heads that I have seen have been sub par. Find a good porter.

An aftermarket crank would be one of the last things to get, The stock crank is good for over 1000hp. It would be a complete waste of money with no benifits.

I agree on not getting a crank, unless you want to make it a stroker.

Thats what the builder said... He is going to bal. n blueprt the motor also..
Going to make the call in the am .. starting machine work next week
