NOOB HERE!! Tune Now?? Or Wait??
I just installed the bolt ons in my sig, and I am getting worse gas mileage and there is more power to be had....
But I have been researching some head/cam setups, and I am very interested in buying one. So I have a few questions for you guys:
1. Should I get the car dyno tuned now? Or wait til I get my head/cam done?
2. I have never installed anything "internally" on an engine before , so would the head/cam job be too difficult for me to do by myself?
3. What is a good estimate of labor costs for a complete head/cam job with all supporting parts (rods, lifters, etc...)??
Keep in mind, I am new to all of this internal engine stuff. I have been reading up a lot on here about how an engine works, and what each part is inside, but I have no one to learn from and no experience either.
So what do you guys think?? Thanks in advance!!

a cam install is not hard at all...
its only time consuming.. i was iffy at first aswell..and everybody said i was going to mess it up..
so i said to me self... SELF we are going to pull this cam swap off! i printed out the ls1howto, and followed it to the dot... not bad at all i even put a double roller chain on.. that was kinda hard..but you can do it.. just take it a step at a time, and no half *** anything. you will save alot of money doing it urself.. let alone feel proud in the end... ive installed 3 cams since mine on friends cars.. and its getting really easy... if you were in my area id help guide you...but you should be fine.. just STAY AWAY FROM PEN MAGNETS!!! lol.. well they are good tools to have..but do NOT!!! use them to pull the lifters up..just get the dowels... cuz those magnet heads come off really easy..i had one almost fall into the head... that woulda been ugly! so yea just get the dowels.. folow step by step, and ur golden

Also, does anyone know roughly how much a head/cam/supporting parts install usually costs??
