What's goin' on fellaz!?

I just came out of an '04 Cavalier that I had boost plans for...now all in Heaven (GEEZE). ANYways, picked up a 2000 model Z28 in that sleek Navy Blue Metallic finish. She has under 100k miles, and was $10k, so I figured I did pretty good. Like a said, I'm a former sport compact tuner, member of JBody.org, and was loving Hahn Racecraft's success with the EcoTec and wanted to boost, but now I've upgraded to good ole' "displacement" in the muscle class. I must say, 5.7L is QUITE different...a little more thirsty on the gas side, but the instant power more than makes up for it! I haven't even "goosed" her yet...scared of what might happen! So, I cruise in her to and from work every day, givin' it the occasional punch in 2nd and 3rd, just to taste the potential. Any advice from you hardcore LS1 guys? I've been Ecotec all the way till now, and want to learn all about my new world of tuning. Pleasure to be here! Peace!

Man these words of encouragement are AWESOME. 55301113, I am thankful to hear your enthusiasm! I really had my doubts about jumping into a 7 year old Camaro, but as I researched the LS1, I learned that it is indeed quite the strong V8, and given this car's obvious highway mileage, perhaps she's still in the run for a few mods!?
MikeG: I shall grow a pair, and when I do, I will fully embrace my new V8 world!
Again, you guys just made me feel so much better about my decision to jump into a used vehicle for the first time; especially it being the stout LS1! Peace out fellaz...looking forward to future research and posts!

Welcome. I recently came from an '05 Cav. I had a Hahn turbo kit for it, but found a '99 Z28 M6, gave the Cav to my wife, and sold the turbo kit. :)
