Can you record the noise for us at all? Could be a blown lifter or a valve problem if you hear it through the exhaust.

its kind of hard to hear on just a recording, but you cant hear it form the exhaust or idling at all, maily when you get into it, all you can hear is the motor running really hard, and LOUD, and hear virtually every piston firing

My advice would be park it and don't even start it till you figure this out.

It very well could be, but man loud noises usually aren't good, especially if you hear it out the exhaust. Now, metal carries sound, so something could be lose, like your exhaust connecting to the manifold broke or something. Just baby it. Check the oil, smell it for gas or coolant. Check the transmission, smell it to see if it's burnt (you'll know, stinks real lovely). Make sure everything is plugged in under the hood. Look under the car while it's rattling. If you have a long screwdriver or prybar you can put it up against the parts of the motor (Valve cover, head, block, etc) and grip the end with your hand, and put your ear to your fist. If the clacking is louder say, on the head than on the block it could be head problems.
