Default shake/vibration

i have a 98 z28, and the engine runs perfects, but when in the car and you rev it up either in nuetral or in gear it has a vibration above 2500 rpm. i tohught it was the harmonic balancer, that didnt fix it.car has new trans mount. the car was hit before in front right and looks liek from underneatht hat it may have bent the frame where the engine bolts to. could that be causing the vibration?

What kind of new tranny mount did you get? If its poly, those will cause good bit of vibration (some think excessive), and its usually normal, just the side effect of a more solid mount. The stock mount is a softer rubber and will absorb a good bit of vibration that the poly mount wont.

yes it is a poly bushing, but the vibration is in neutral too, does that make sense?

Yes, that makes total sense. I remember when I upgraded to a poly trans mount. I could feel the car shaking in my seat and vibration on my feet through the floor pan. The motor still torques over in neutral.
