I have a project car a 1993 Mazda RX7. I have a T56 out of a Ws6. And I have the Hinson mounting kit. I bought a complete engine pullout minus the transmision out of a 2006 Corvette C6 its a LS2. I was know that a LS2 out of a GTO will fit with only a oil pan change and I assumed that the C6 LS2 would also fit with no problems. But was told today the the two engines are different in size and location of the belt accesories. Is this true? Arent they the same size? Please any help will be appreciated. I hope I didnt waste my money buying this C6 LS2 instead of a GTO LS2.

The LS2 installed in the C6, GTO, SSR and TB SS (different intake and TB) are the physically same motor. However the oil pans are different and the accessories are configured different. The engine block and cylinder heads have threaded holes for all applications.
I'm not sure if the C6 oil pan would fit your application for clearance. You can look at the oil pan from a LS1 F-body for clearance. One of the best parts about the GM LSX engines is the compatibility of the different parts between the engines. I bolted the stock LS1 oil pan to my LS2 402 and it fit perfect. I would recommend posting this question in the Conversion & Hybrid section here for additional information.
Keep the engine, you're fine.
