Default NO A/c need some help fast

ok so just put the ac back in its been out for awhile so i get it all hooked back up no leaks i know of... so i charge the system with the car running and the ac on like the bottle says... still no ac not even for a lil while...it was 90 degrees yesterday.... please help..oh and the copmpressor is kicking on and off so im lost?

How much "freon" you put in? I don't think the compressor should be kicking off and on. You may still be low.

one bottle from oreillys dont know how much should it take??? it was completely out... should it not kick on and off it does about every 5 seconds or so??

Two cans from empty should be enough. I just put two cans in mine yesterday after replacing a line I broke, and she feels like a meat locker now. Make sure you have it on max while you fill it, and give it some time. Sometimes it takes a while to get that last little bit out of the can.

Start with one additional can. If you already put one full can in there, you should only need one unless you have a leak.

i think the car calls for 1.5lbs

also the low side should be around 30psi and the high side should be about six times that

did you replace your accumulator? you should if you had it down to zero lbs

lol ya well im not sure about the leak but i thought that aftyer i put a whole bottle in that it would at least work for a minute or so if it does have a leak its not big enough for me to hear with the car off so thats the method

haha, you can buy a cheap dye test kit at your local auto parts store. They actually work well.

That compressor will be leaking probably so you have to get under the car with the UV light.

Remember you check your evaporator drain. If there’s dye coming out of that it’s bad also
