Default My rear right wheel seems to be tucked in more than the left?

not sure if the pics show too well but my right tire is tucked in more than the left. i'm scared this is a sign of a bent frame? what else could be causing that?

Do you have an adjustable panhard bar?

If so, you can move it over by adjust it. If not, you need one with the lowering springs on your car to bring it back into specs.

From those pics it definitely looks off and either panhard bar is out of adjustment or something is bent.

Are you lowered? You need an adjustable PHR, but if you're lowered that's likely where the problem came from in case you're wondering.

That's frickin' funny, our cars look identical (you have more power of course). And they both have the same problem. I just got back from BMR picking up an adjustable PHR. Just ironic.

That is exactly what the adjustable panhard bar is made to correct. It is well known that almost every fbody has this issue (mine does too) and the panhard bar moves the differential left or right, as needed, by making the bar longer or shorter. BTW, my car is not lowered, has stock wheels and tire configuration, but is still shifted by 13/16". Just sloppy engineering by GM.

Is there an easy way to accurately measure how much it's off?

Make yourself a plumb bob.....get a couple pieces of string or fishing line & tie a nut or something onto the end of it. Tape the other end to the outer fender in the center, then measure the distance between the string and the center of the wheel. Adjust the phb until the measurement is the same on both sides.

I was told by an engineer that almost all cars are purposely engineered like that. He explaind how it makes the car absorb bumps better but I don't remember exactly what he said but it made sense at the tme.

Wow and i thought i was the only Fbody with that problem. Everytime i wash my car or just look at it from the rear, i would think some was off and it was that reason. I have seen it like that since i bought the car 3 years ago. Car works fine, but its bothers me to see things off like that.

Well, you gotta watch what those engineers tell you. If they are defending a mistake, they will baffle you with bullshirt. (I can say that, I am one).
On my car, I believe it is the reason why my car slides to the right when I nail it from a dig. The adjustable PRB is the first suspension mod I am going to make on my car.

The engineer I talked too only worked in the automotive industry for a short time. He was at a car show looking at my GN and I mentioned I thought my rear end was off a little and that's when he told me it's suppossed to be like that. Take a look at other cars. Almost every car on the road you can see the same thing if you really look closely.
