Default Comp OE lifter failed

My engine was making a knocking noise so I thought it may be a bad lifter. I pull my drivers side head off and found this. Only 1,500 miles on these! I want my money back!

I had a set of Comp-R lifters wherein one of them failed the same way...on the road course at Lime Rock Park. I brought it home with a wee bit of extra valvetrain noise but no driveability issues, found the two pieces of that cheap stamped-steel retainer plate stuck to my oil pan drain plug magnet.

I sent the set back to Comp, then sold the new replacement set they sent me. From thence I have a strict no Comp lifter policy.

Im going to send this set back and sell it. At least it will replace some of the money I had to spend on new gaskets and lifters. Damn im glad I can do this stuff on my own, this would have cost a furtune.

I just bought some LS7's to replace these. Only $100.
