i got a set of ported 5.3 heads they are suppose to flow like the AFR 205, and I also have a ported LS6 intake manifold.
question is if i use them on a 99 6.0 iron block, is that a upgrade or downgrade from the stock lq4 heads ??

Your going to leave some power unaccounted for, also the possibility of creating some hot spots for carbon to build up. But it would be a worthwhile gain oer the stock heads

The factory 317's have ls6 style ports just larger chambers. Not sure if 5.3
heads are the same way. I think patriot actually starts out with 5.3 heads for
their cnc'd heads so the chambers arent too big for the ls1.
